Vestas Power Solutions is the R&D function of Vestas. Through innovation, development, and continuous improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the sustainable power systems of the future.

Hub module oversees, maintain, and develop the complete Vestas Hub program. The tasks range from structural engineering over to highly specialized FEM calculations, requirements definitions, risk management specifications, certification of components, DFMEA, test planning and execution. Hub Structure is a submodule within the Hub module. We are responsible for the structural design of Hubs, development of structural design software and for updating and maintaining the structural design guidelines and manufacturing specifications among other relevant tasks relevant for the Hub structural design.

Responsibilities

• Your main responsibilities and tasks will require you to work closely with Engineers, Specialists, Designers and global teams
• Develop, new methodologies to evaluate Fatigue multiaxial phenomena, topology optimization, and non-linear analysis in large castings
• Provide daily support to the team members in a wide range of technical issues ensuring quick and effective choices
• Preparing and assisting project managers with reports

Qualifications

• You are in the process of obtaining an academic degree at the Bachelor’s or Master's level degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent
• You have a technical education and desire to become proficient in planning and coordinating
• You possess fluent English communication skills both oral and in written
• Comprehensive knowledge of FEA software (preferably Ansys)
• Knowledge on following areas: fatigue analysis, dynamic Analysis, bolted joints design
• xperienced with high-paced cross-functional and cross-cultural teams is beneficial

Additional information

The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark.

You can expect to be working around 15-20 hours per week – however, we will accommodate to academic schedule.
