SHIPPING TRAINEE - COSCO SHIPPING Lines Nordic A/S

The world is calling – and we are looking for an ambitious Shipping Trainee to join our team as soon as possible.

COSCO SHIPPING Lines Nordic A/S forms part of one of the world’s largest container shipping companies. COSCO SHIPPING Lines operates a modern fleet of approx. 410 container vessels with a total capacity of 2.3 million TEUs, serving more than 650 ports in 146 countries and regions.

A strong start to your career

Our 2-year Shipping Trainee Programme combines practical, hands-on training with structured theoretical education. You will gain insight into international logistics, container operations, documentation, customer coordination and the commercial shipping environment.
You will join a professional and experienced organisation where quality, responsibility and continuous development are key elements of our daily operations.

Your responsibilities

During the trainee period, you will rotate across relevant functions and gain broad insight into the full shipping cycle, including:

• Customer service and daily client communication
• Booking and order handling
• Coordination of inland and international transport
• Basic calculations, cost handling and invoice processes
• Transport and maritime law (documentation, BL handling, compliance)
• Support on internal and external sales-related activities
• Filing and processing vendor cost invoices and operational documentation

Your profile

We are looking for a motivated and structured trainee who thrives in an international environment and handles busy periods with professionalism.

You:

• Are service-minded, proactive and eager to learn
• Take ownership and show initiative
• Work independently and maintain focus under pressure
• Communicate well in English, both written and spoken

Educational requirements (one of the following):

• HHX or EUX
• STX, HF or HTX + required 5- or 10-week commercial course (grundforløb)
